life is not a burden for us

I know I have said it before, but I will say it again.

I checked in on Vanessa because I had so many links coming to that page.

She died two days ago.

It is with the most profound anguish that I am letting you know that my beautiful sister, Vanessa, died yesterday afternoon, Sunday, June 14, 2009, at UCLA Santa Monica hospital. She had been admitted early Saturday for difficulties with her GI system and shallow breathing. She became weaker and very tired over the next 24 hours and finally her heartbeat slowed and then stopped. The doctors made efforts to revive her, but could not. My mom, Vanessa’s twin sister Chandra and I were all at her side.

I believe with all my heart that she was exhausted from three years of suffering and struggling against this devastating disease, and that she was ready to let go of her terrible fight. It is very difficult for me to type this post, so I will leave it for now. I will post when we have information about a memorial ceremony. All contributions made through this blog will be donated to a cause close to Vanessa’s heart. Thank you so much for everything.

We love you, our beautiful, beautiful Nessy. Be warm, be soft, be flexible, be without pain, be at peace, finally.
